How to Connect with UCSF Profiles to Save Time, Power your Website, Generate Reports, and Delight your Researchers

Time:
4:05 PM to 4:45 PM
Room:
Rutter Center Conference Room 1
Track:
Collaboration & Engagement
Description:

UCSF Profiles is used by 1 million people every year, and is one of the primary gateways for the public to connect to UCSF and learn about UCSF researchers. UCSF Profiles is more than a list of publications. It includes grants, clinical trials, education, as well as sections for specialized categories like global health experience and faculty mentoring interests. And it also features a rich open API, which powers dozens of UCSF websites and software applications.

In this session, we’ll show you how to:

  • Get your data added to Profiles — like the Weill Institute and Academic Affairs
  • Pull data out into your websites and apps — like the Department of Radiology
  • Request custom publication reports for your department — like the Department of Medicine, Vice Chancellor of Research, and the School of Nursing
  • Connect with the Profiles team to add custom functionality — like the SOM Dean’s office
  • Show off your researchers’ work to colleagues and funders — like the Memory and Aging Center.

Recent partners will speak of their experiences in the above. Have questions about the UCSF Profiles ecosystem? Or an idea to make it work better for you? Come talk to us.
