Sara Hughes is Associate Dean for Education and Learner Success in the School of Dentistry. She joined UCSF in 2017. Before that she lived and worked in Asia. She is native of England where she prides herself for being a disruptor of dental education, for which she was bestowed the MBE by Her Majesty the Queen of England. She’s a qualified teacher, has a Doctorate in Education, and is a proud member of the Haile T. Debas Academy of Medical Educators.
